Role Overview

The Global Regulatory Legal Lead will act as the principal legal lead for Binance’s global regulatory affairs. This senior role is responsible for developing and executing a global regulatory legal strategy, managing regulatory risk across jurisdictions, leading a high performing team, and serving as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Global regulatory leadership - Serve as the principal legal lead for global regulatory affairs, overseeing compliance and managing regulatory risks across jurisdictions.
• Strategy development - Develop, implement, and continuously refine Binance’s global regulatory legal strategy to align with evolving international laws and frameworks.
• Team leadership - Lead and manage the global regulatory legal team, providing strategic direction, resourcing, and performance management.
• Regulator engagement - Act as the primary liaison with regulators worldwide, build constructive relationships, and facilitate dialogue to advance Binance’s regulatory interests.
• Regulatory filings and approvals - Oversee preparation, submission, and management of global regulatory filings, licenses, permits, and approvals.
• Cross-functional collaboration - Collaborate with compliance, risk, business development, and product teams to embed regulatory considerations into product launches and business processes.
• Response management - Coordinate and lead responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, audits, and enforcement actions to achieve timely, effective resolutions.
• Training and governance - Drive regulatory training and awareness programs, manage external counsel and consultants, and oversee budgeting and operational functions for the legal team.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction, with significant international regulatory legal experience.
• 12-15 years minimum experience in regulatory legal roles, ideally in technology, financial services, or the crypto sector.
• Proven expertise managing complex regulatory compliance matters and engaging with authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of global financial products including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, and digital assets.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute global regulatory strategies in a fast evolving environment.
• Experience leading and managing legal teams across regions, with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, fluency in English, additional languages a plus.
• Strong business acumen, pragmatic problem solving, and ability to work under pressure.

Working Arrangement

Full-time role, listed as Remote. Work-from-home arrangements may vary depending on business team needs. The role requires engagement with regulators and cross-regional stakeholders, and may include travel or location-specific coordination as required.
