Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Computer Vision to join our global, remote team. You will research and build computer vision and generative deep learning models that extract structure from 3D scans, enable 3D generative AI tasks, and automate manual processes in our manufacturing pipeline. This is a high-impact role where you will establish best practices, design evaluation methods, and ship models that drive product value.

What You Will Do

• Build computer vision models to extract geometric and structural information from information-dense 3D scans.
• Research state-of-the-art methods for 3D generative AI tasks and 2D/3D computer vision problems, and apply them to product features.
• Work with massive datasets to develop both general and fine-tuned models for specific applications.
• Develop evaluation methodologies to quantify dataset and model confidence and performance.
• Implement MLOps best practices and production-ready pipelines for training, validation, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with product, research, and engineering teams to identify opportunities and deliver features that add customer value quickly.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of relevant experience in machine learning, computer vision, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in Python and deep learning frameworks, with hands-on experience in PyTorch preferred.
• Strong background in 2D deep learning and/or 3D deep learning, including 3D geometric computer vision techniques.
• Experience designing and evaluating models on large datasets, and developing robust metrics and validation approaches.
• Ability to write production-quality code, with strong attention to detail and engineering discipline.
• Masters or PhD in a related quantitative field is preferred but not required.

Location and Team

This is a remote role on a globally distributed team. The team works across regions and Dandy adjusts compensation and benefits by candidate location. You will collaborate with product and research teams to deliver features and improvements for Dandy’s 3D dental platform.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $216,800 - $255,000 USD for U.S.-based roles. Actual compensation will vary by candidate location, skills, qualifications, and experience. Compensation listed for U.S. roles applies only to candidates working in the United States; candidates outside the U.S. will receive regionally adjusted compensation.
