Growth Engineer

Location: Home based - EMEA (remote; candidate must be located in the EMEA region)

The role of a Growth Engineer at Canonical

Canonical is seeking a Growth Engineer to join the Marketing team and execute our growth hacking strategy. You will work at the intersection of marketing and engineering to drive product adoption, design experiments, automate workflows and build self-serve data tooling that empowers cross-functional teams to act on insights rapidly.

What your day will look like

  • Join cross-functional teams to increase Canonical product adoption and market penetration.
  • Support Go-To-Market colleagues with strategy, measurement and analytical expertise.
  • Analyse behavioural data and incorporate user feedback to inform experiments and product improvements.
  • Design, implement and support experiments, dashboards, and data visualisations to surface actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain systems that provide teams across the company with self-service access to data and dashboards.

What we are looking for in you

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and marketing, enjoys problem solving, and is comfortable shipping experiments, automations and analytics to improve commercial outcomes.

  • Ability to work with at least two of the following languages: Python, Javascript, SQL.
  • Experience in data analysis and data visualisation with an emphasis on driving measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and separate signal from noise to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Ownership mindset: you enjoy experimenting, automating repetitive work and improving team productivity.
