You will design and integrate services, stabilise systems, and drive platform improvements to increase automation, reliability, and developer productivity.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve production issues to ensure high system reliability and availability.
  • Automate deployments and operational workflows, applying Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Build custom tooling and integrations to improve developer and operator efficiency.
  • Define and implement monitoring, SLIs, SLOs, and runbooks for core services.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimise deployment and release processes and drive architectural improvements.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and custom tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container-based workflows.
  • Infrastructure as Code experience, for example Terraform and related workflows.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar, and automating deployments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Solid SQL experience and comfort working with relational and in-memory stores.

Nice to have

  • Experience with KubeVirt, Ceph, or large-scale virtualisation stacks and cloud providers.
  • Familiarity with network design, underlay and overlay networking, and DNS at scale.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or AWX.

Personal qualities

  • Pragmatic, curious, and able to operate in ambiguous environments with significant technical debt.
  • Strong ownership mindset, able to balance short-term firefighting with long-term strategic improvements.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, and ability to collaborate across distributed teams.

Benefits

  • Health Insurance or reimbursement according to company policy.
  • Fully remote work with flexible hours, work from anywhere worldwide.
  • Paid 24 days vacation per year, plus national holidays and unlimited sick leave.
  • Home office stipend, co-working and gym reimbursements, and budget for professional learning.
