Role overview

We are seeking a Chief Security Officer (CSO) to lead the technical implementation of security measures across our infrastructure and product portfolio. The CSO will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for the information security program, drive technical security decisions, and ensure the company is protected against threats while enabling secure product development and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for CloudLinux information security program and lead the security team.
• Strengthen and operate the current security environment through technical and organisational measures.
• Design and implement controls to prevent loss or compromise of critical and sensitive information, and to detect, respond to, and recover from incidents.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to prioritise and remediate security issues while balancing business objectives.
• Support and mentor engineers to produce secure code and minimise security defects in product and infrastructure.
• Engage with the security research community on vulnerabilities and emerging threats, and lead proactive threat analysis and response.
• Operate and defend critical network infrastructure to keep CloudLinux safe and resilient.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, with hands-on technical expertise.
• Deep understanding of Linux and UNIX based systems, and practical experience securing them.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages including C, PHP, Python, Golang, or similar languages.
• Strong knowledge of network security, common protocols, and security architecture principles.
• Proven experience leading security teams or demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional security initiatives.
• Experience in security research, vulnerability analysis, and hands-on penetration testing.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
