Your Team and Role
In this role you will lead the team that builds and evolves the core web platform powering our private browsers on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Your team ensures the browsers are fast, stable, and private by design. You will define architecture that enables product teams to deliver innovative features with confidence, while reducing fragmentation and breakage across platforms. This is a leadership role at the intersection of browser engines, platform integration, and privacy innovation, directly influencing how millions of people experience a safer web.
About You
- Ability to lead and collaborate on high-impact, complex projects from proposal through post-mortem.
- Skilled at wrangling vague problems, proposing innovative solutions, and executing with a strong focus on metrics and impact.
- 10+ years experience leading teams of technically strong developers working on large, complex consumer-facing products, desktop in particular.
- Proven leadership experience across multiple consumer-facing products, with critical decisions that have broad, positive impact.
- 4+ years experience in senior leadership roles (Director, VP) including people management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Experience leading teams through rapid growth and scaling.
- Direct experience with browsers - Chromium, WebKit, or WebView development.
- Recent experience defining and driving technical work end-to-end on large-scale C++ codebases (modern C++14 or more recent).
- Experience with other modern languages such as C#, Swift, Kotlin, or Rust.
- Experience developing software for mobile platforms or desktop (Android, iOS, Windows).
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $243,800 USD annually and stock options. Compensation is identical within professional levels, regardless of geographic location or team, and compensation for each professional level is transparent across the organization.

Please Note
- You will be required to attend meetings on camera via video conferencing.
- Expect to travel at least two times a year: once for our all-hands meetup and once for a team retreat, each around 4-5 days. While extenuating circumstances may impact attendance, everyone is strongly encouraged to attend.
- We offer a flexible work arrangement with no core hours, and an average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week is expected.
