The Role

The Solutions Architect will combine business and security expertise to demonstrate the value of Halcyon’s cyber resilience platform to customers and channel partners. You will conduct ransomware readiness assessments, align customer expectations with our solution, coordinate technical demonstrations and proof-of-value efforts, and contribute to quota attainment by supporting the full sales motion. The role requires close partnership with sales, product, engineering, customer success, and marketing to ensure excellent customer outcomes and to inform product direction.

Responsibilities

• Executive engagement - Work with CxO and senior technical stakeholders to demonstrate Halcyon’s platform value and recommend tailored solutions.
• Advisory and education - Advise customers and channel partners on deployment, capabilities, and commercial applications of the Halcyon solution.
• Sales support - Assist account and channel management to qualify opportunities, perform requirements analysis, and advance deals through the sales cycle.
• Demos and POVs - Coordinate and manage demonstrations and proof-of-value efforts, including endpoint testing and virtual lab configuration, and respond to technical questions.
• Transition to delivery - Seamlessly hand off engagements to Customer Success and ensure alignment on expectations and outcomes.
• Cross-functional partnership - Work with product, engineering, and threat intelligence teams to translate customer feedback into roadmap and product improvements.
• Thought leadership - Represent Halcyon at events, write industry articles, and support marketing to build brand awareness in your region.
• Continuous learning - Maintain and expand technical and soft skills through certifications, training, and hands-on experience.

Skills and Qualifications

• Senior tier: 8+ years in information security engineering roles, or Solutions Architect tier: 5+ years.
• Strong technical experience with modern security platforms, including cloud security, endpoint defense, threat intelligence, and incident response.
• Experience in security-focused solution architect, sales engineering, or similar pre-sales roles supporting commercial or enterprise customers.
• Proven ability to present to senior executives and diverse external audiences, and to translate technical capabilities into business value.
• Familiarity with APIs, scripting, automation, and data exchange formats for integrations and deployments.
• B.A. or M.S. degree, or equivalent technical experience and training.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%, including short-notice travel when required.

Preferred Skills

• Scripting experience in PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, and/or Python.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC GCFA, or GCIH.
• Experience in consulting, services, or channel-facing business development roles is a plus.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000. This is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of base compensation for this role. The role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and equity participation. Actual pay may vary based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and location.
